Though Trump has won the Electoral College handily, he did not win the popular vote. Clinton won a plurality of the vote with 47.7 to 47.3% at the most recent count, which amounts to about 400,000 voters in round terms. Before you shout we wuz robbed this situation has happened a number of time before in American history, most recently and notoriously, in 2000 with Bush/Gore.
